UPSC Civil Services (IAS) & IFoS Prelims 2019 Notification & Online Registration: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the UPSC Prelims 2019 aka UPSC Civil Services (IAS) & IFoS Prelims 2019 Notification today. A total of 986 vacancies have been notified in the official notification. Interested candidates can apply to these posts through the official website of UPSC, i.e. upsconline.nic.in.
The online applications can be filled from 19 February 2019 to 18 March 2019. Candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs.100/- either by depositing the money in any branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of State Bank of India or by using any Visa/Master/RuPay Credit/Debit Card. Reserved Category candidates are exempted from the payment of Fee.
As per the official notification, the union public service commission will conduct both the exams on same day i.e. 2 June 2019 at various exam centres. The number of vacancies to be filled on the result of the examination is expected to be
approximately 896 which include 39 reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disability
Category, i.e. 8 vacancies for candidates of (a) blindness and low vision; 11 Vacancies for (b) deaf
and hard of hearing; 15 Vacancies for (c) locomotor disability including cerebral palsy, leprosy
cured, dwarfism, acid attack victims and muscular dystrophy; and 5 Vacancies for (e) multiple
disabilities from amongst persons under clauses (a) to (c) including deaf-blindness. The final
number of vacancies may undergo a change after getting a firm number of vacancies from Cadre
Controlling Authorities. Reservation will be made for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes.
Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, the Economically Weaker Sections and Persons with
Benchmark Disability in respect of vacancies as may be fixed by the Government.

Exam Pattern of UPSC Civil Services (IAS) & IFoS Prelims 2019
The Civil Services Examination will consist of two successive stages (i) Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination (Objective type) for the selection of candidates for the Main Examination; and (ii) Civil Services (Main) Examination (Written and Interview) for the selection of candidates for the various Services and posts noted above.
