INVITES APPLICATIONS FOR VARIOUS POSITIONS IN THE PROJECT “STRENGTHENING COTTAGE INDUSTRIES AND RURAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP ECOSYSTEM IN GUJARAT”

Job Description and no of Jobs, Location (Eight Identified Districts- Valsad / Vadodara / Narmada / Dahod / Junagadh / Patan / Mehsana / Jamnagar / Surendranagar)

  1. District Entrepreneurship Lead (Valsad / Vadodara / Narmada / Dahod / Junagadh / Patan / Mehsana / Surendranagar).Qualification & Experience:
    • Master’s degree in Entrepreneurship / MBA / Rural Development / MSW / Development Studies.
    • 3 to 5 years of experience working in entrepreneurial education and skill development.
    • Strong and demonstrated commitment to vision and mission of the programme.
    • Proficient in Gujarati (Local Language), Hindi and English.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills; clear and professional demeanor.
    • Efficient with MS Office and literate with other computer skills.

    Job Description:

    • Create and manage entrepreneurship and skill development programme in identified districts.
    • Involve in exploratory primary study of various districts of Gujarat for cluster approach.
    • Build network of all stakeholders in the project.
    • Engage and ensure capacity building activities of key stakeholders.
    • Devise awareness programmes and capacity building programmes of various durations for the beneficiaries based on the needs of market demand, credit management, market linkages, business development, enterprise development, soft skill learning and exposure visits.
    • Conduct sessions during training on credit management, market linkages, business development etc.
    • Support Programme Director in developing and implementing the programme.
    • Train, delegate, monitor and motivate team members effectively to maximize productivity.
    • Work to establish a regular meeting schedule and check-ins with Implementation team members.
    • Train and work together with others on systems for communication and file documentation.
    • Lead and participate in team meetings, staff meetings, organization events and other duties as necessary.
  2. Credit Linkage Expert (One each at Valsad / Vadodara / Narmada / Dahod / Junagadh / Patan / Mehsana).Qualification & Experience:
    • Master’s degree in Entrepreneurship/MBA/MSW/Rural Development/Development Studies
    • 3 – 5 Years relevant experience.
    • Proficient in Gujarati (Local Language), Hindi and English.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills; clear and professional demeanor.
    • Efficient with MS Office and literate with other computer skills.

    Job Description:

    • Consolidate & map schemes of the government for end-to-end credit linkage mechanism.
    • Consolidate & map sector-specific schemes available through state programmes.
    • Consolidate & map sector-specific schemes available through national programmes.
    • Develop framework for availing respective schemes.
    • Capacity Building of Mentors to extend support to aspiring entrepreneurs for credit.
    • Business proposals vetting and plans to be submitted.
    • Liaise with respective departments for approvals and timely disbursement of funds under the scheme.
    • Explore other mechanism for enabling credit linkages from the Private Sector.
    • Enabling funding by means of angel investors, impact investors, social enterprise, CSR funding, etc.
  3. District Lead and Market Linkage Expert (One each Valsad / Vadodara / Narmada / Dahod / Junagadh / Patan / Mehsana / Jamnagar).Qualification & Experience:
    • Master Degree / Diploma (Entrepreneurship / Development Studies / General management / Industrial Relations).
    • 3+ years of experience working with development organizations, not- for- profit etc. with focus on livelihood generation in rural and cottage industries.
    • Strong and demonstrated commitment to vision and mission of the programme.
    • Proficient in Gujarati (Local Language), Hindi and English.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills; clear and professional demeanor.
    • Efficient with MS Office and literate with other computer skills.

    Job Description:

    • Conduct Domain Skill Training.
    • Assessment & Certification on completion of domain skilling.
    • Develop Industry linkage strategy in line with the demand sectors to enable employment and entrepreneurship.
    • Engaging with prospective industry to take products/output of the micro-enterprises.
    • Carrying out industry engagement activities such as meetings, seminars, summits at the district and state level to induce industry participation.
    • Signing MoUs with industry.
    • Developing E-market place.
    • Market Linkage Events / Fairs / Exhibitions/ Haats, etc.
  4. District Promotions and Outreach Expert (One each Valsad / Vadodara / Narmada / Dahod / Junagadh / Patan / Mehsana).Qualification & Experience:
    • Preferable qualification: MBA (Marketing / Business Management / Mass Communication).
    • Must have 2+ years of experience into Marketing / Branding and Promotions / PR.
    • Fluency in spoken and written English language essential, proficiency in spoken Hindi and Gujarati (Local Language).
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills and experience with using social media for professional communication.

    Job Description:

    • Stakeholder-wise need assessment to map all stakeholders and assess respective and continuously changing needs.
    • Develop Branding & Communication Strategy for department/schemes/ programme/ product/ etc. and budgets.
    • Develop Outreach Strategy & budgets for connecting with youth and promoting micro-entrepreneurship and inducing them to develop ideas that can be developed into successful micro-enterprise.
    • Design of campaigns, collaterals & Identify suitable media – print/electronic/social/etc. and collaborating for maximum reach and efficacy.
    • Audio-visual tools, digital dissemination through social media, apps, etc., screening of short videos for creating awareness education, literacy, skills, etc.
    • Implement robust monitoring and reporting mechanism for the activities at the district.
    • Revamp Branding / Outreach strategies as required.

Type of Employment: On Contractual basis.

The selected candidate may be posted anywhere in the country.  Salary/fee will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
